eFAP / Mental health and addiction referral

Mission Statement – The Unifor Local 27 EFAP/Mental Health & Addiction Referral Committee is committed to promoting our National Union’s EFAP (Employee and Family Assistance Program) initiatives. Through education and awareness we will develop language to bargain fair work practices, programs and benefits to support and foster healthy workplaces where all of our members can work safely and effectively without reprisal.

The Committee will support, promote and help to improve community agencies and activities so that our membership can benefit from their programs. We will encourage  all of our members to “reach out and recover”from mental health and addiction issues so that we can each enjoy a workplace that will be healthy and free from stigmatization of these issues.

We will welcome and empower all of our members to be a participant in this mission.
